Puzzle Typings

Skill (S)
Requires skill, pure jumping skill usually. Majority of puzzles will have this.
Velocity (V)
Requires a lot of sprinting, so be warned of cooldowns
Technical (T)
Requires various methods, most commonly /sit, /doze or phasing to progress
(Tip: Phasing is done by running or walking for 1 second into an object without changes in the directional axis)
Mystery / Obscurity (M) (O)
Requires thinking and/or makes you go "wtf, where do I go"
Forbidden (F)
Requires precise timing on phasing to avoid falling
(Tip: Count your steps before jumping)
Haise / Pump (H) (H+)
Requires a zone refresh to move certain objects
(This can be achieved by doing /sit on a chair, /doze in a bed or Returning to Chamber Door/Front Door)
Limited (L)
Requires specific class abilities, most commonly Dancer, Dragoon or Reaper.
Warping (W)
Causes players to warp down when too close to object edges at certain areas.
Event (E)
Limited time or obscure ruleset.
Markings (+) (-)
+ Usually meaning there are extra attachments to the original typing
- Usually meaning it can be skipped with an alternate path.

Difficulty

Beginner ★☆☆☆☆
Easy puzzles for first timers, most Square Enix puzzles are this easy.
Normal ★★☆☆☆
Puzzles that require a little bit effort.
This can be compared to Kugane Tower and Sylphstep.
Hard ★★★☆☆
Difficult puzzles for those who want a challenge.
Satan ★★★★☆
Very hard puzzles, this can be compared to the Moonfire Tower Faire Puzzle.
God ★★★★★
Even attempting a puzzle like this is not for the sane.

Puzzle Entry

Most common entry to a puzzle is by bumping your head into an object lodged in the roof, or by /doze in a bed lodged in the wall.
So be on the lookout for things like that when looking for the entrance, or during puzzles!
